money on Weddings A
wedding is one of the biggest occasions in a person's life but it's soooo
expensive! Good news is, there are great ways of cutting down costs without
sacrificing the quality of the wedding. 1.
Cut down on the invitations Having
a bunch of people that you or your partner hardly know come to the wedding is a
waste of good food and space. Stick to your immediate family and your closest
friends. 2. Call on your friends They
are coming to your wedding right? Well then get them together and save on time
and money with the labour. Ask your friends to help you shop and look for ways
that you can save even more money. Female friends work the best here as they
are more commonly found in fashion places and boutiques. |
4. Talk to your caterer
Keeping
in contact with your caterer could be a very good idea. Tell him what your
budgeting and ask him to help you in your decision. You can get the best bottle
of champagne for a 30 dollars but you might find another for 5 dollars that
taste the same.
5. Get creative
Throw
a pitch-in party where you invite some friends for a party and they make a
donation to make your wedding extra special.
6. Cut down on the decorations
Having
a church full of rose petals is not a necessity. Cut down on some streamers etc
and you will still have a beautiful wedding.
7. Rent a dress
Its
a quite common fact that the bride usually wants to keep the wedding dress so
why not rent dresses for the brides-maid instead of buying it. You can also
look for sample wedding dresses for cheaper or you could ask one of your
divorced friend to sell their dress to you.
8. Plan far ahead
Make
sure that your ready for your special day so that you don't need to go buy the
most expensive stuff just because you are in a hurry to get things done.
Effective budgeting can save you lots of money.
9. Don't hire a wedding planner
Of
course its a huge luxury! If you have one you certainly aren't in need of
money.
10. Buy the ring online!
