Foot And Back Massage Techniques

Back Massage Techniques

What You Will Need:

Comfortable Spot (e.g. Sofa, Bed or Mat) Whichever they prefer.

       Massage Oil.

 Patience

Step 1
Have you partner face-down on a strong comfortable lying area (Bed, Mat, Sofa) Have them lay their head on a pillow or whichever is comfortable for them.

Step 2
Take the massage oil and rub it between your hands to warm it up. Never massage your partner with your hands cold. It will give a sudden shock to your partner when you touch them. This is not relaxing and completely puts your partner off before you have even started.

Step 3
Stand or sit comfortably beside your partner and resting both hands on their back. Start at the back of the neck and working your way to the lower back. Using your thumbs apply gentle pressure along either side of their spine.

Step 4
Use the oil and move your hands up and down the back applying gentle pressure with the palms of your hands. Keep doing this up both sides of their neck and to the base of their head. This is to distribute the massage oil evenly.

Step 5
Starting at their lower back, place one hand on either side of their spine and 'pull' the skin with your palms away from the spine. (This should not hurt them due to the massage oils) work your way to the upper back and be careful not to push on the shoulder blades as this will cause discomfort.

Step 6
Knead the fleshy areas and muscular at the top of the neck and mid back with your finger tips. Never use your nails as this could scratch them and ruin the massage.

Step 7
Using your fingers or thumbs apply pressure using a circular motion on the areas that are knotted (The tough, hard areas). Ask your partner how much pressure theywant you to apply. Knots are very sensitive to pressure and everyone’s pain tolerance level is different.

Step 8
Ask your partner which steps he/she likes best and repeat them. This will make your partner feel you are interested in their massage and not just doing it for them.

Tray of Warm Water.

Step 1
Remove their footwear and soak their feet in the tray of warm water for about five to ten minutes. This will help to relax your partner which is what you want to achieve.

Tip: Add some oils or special slats to the water to the water to help relax sore and tired feet. (You may find these oils and salts at any beauty bar)

Step 2
Be sure to warm up your hands before you start. Rub some oil your hands (Do not use too much as it will cause them to slip in their shoes and cause blisters on their feet) Gently but firmly, start at the top of their feet and place your fingers at the top of their foot and your thumbs below and "pull" towards you. Your hands should glide easily because of the massage oil. If not just simply add more massage oil to their feet.

Tip: When giving your partner a massage, be sure to use circular motions whenever you can. This will get the blood flowing and give your partner an amazing relaxing feeling.

Step 3
The next step is to slide your fingers back in between their toes a couple of times. Be careful with this because some people are very ticklish in this area. Be sure to use firm strokes when doing this.

Step 4
Take each toe individually and rub them from top to bottom. Then hold the toe and make a circle motion in the air with it.

Step 5
Use your knuckles and press them into the bottom of their feet. If they are too ticklish I suggest you use your palms of your hand.

Step 6
Place your hands on the top of their foot and glide your fingers back and forth in-between their tendons. This will soften and relax them.

Massage the bottom of their foot with your thumbs in a circular motion. Ask your partner how much pressure they like as everyone is different. Ask your partner their favorite step and repeat as much as you like. This should relax them even more knowing you are doing this for them and you are enjoying it to.
